PersonalizedLearning
To assist students in demonstrating competencies in the classroom and/or career readiness, below are examples of programs that I have promoted and designed with other teams that help build Equity and a Growth Mindset.
Youth Career Connect (YCC)
To scale up evidence-based high school models, KEDC collaborated with the United States Department of Labor in assisting 10 high schools in developing their students to strengthen our talent pipeline for employers. Our partners included Morehead State University, KCTCS, Project Lead the Way, the office of Career and Technical Education at KDE, and several major companies and industries in KY help encourage career pathways for high school students to ACHIEVE career goals for their future.

Work-based learning
(WBL)
Through experiences and platforms, my team and I created Project-based Internships to help students in rural areas complete WBL activities and promote Project-based Learning with the assistance of Project Lead The Way. Many opportunities were provided to students in the areas of communication, essential skills, attitude, teamwork, networking, critical thinking, and problem solving. Mentorships with students, employers and/or teachers also became a important piece to WBL. Below are different examples of this work that was created through YCC and working with local employers.
